A so-called usher/doorman is a person who monitors the entrance to, for example, nightclubs, restaurants or concerts. These ushers do not report to the police and therefore lack the authority that a security guard has, such as to reject, remove or take into custody anyone who disturbs the order. The usher may not use force, but must then call security guards or the police. Emblems such as "Entrevärd", "Security", "Vakt" are common among ushers, but do not give any special authority.
