The sawtooth knife is V-shaped, which means that the saw teeth themselves are narrower than the back of the saw. This makes it not suitable for cutting deeply into hard materials (as the back supports the cut) but on the other hand very flexible in soft materials where you don't want to destroy the material but want a fine cut, such as fish meat, other food, etc.

The size is about the same as a pistol magazine (or slightly larger), so several pistol magazine pockets will fit.
