The HAWK 9” Side-Zip is packed with incredible quality, movement-enhancing performance features. This boot features Original SWAT’s proprietary Flex-Lite Support System built in to provide performance-to-weight ratio. Very popular with patrol officers who move around a lot during a shift.

Flex-Lite Support System:

1. HAWK Outsole: Large outsole that provides outstanding slip resistance and meets ASTM F489-96 requirements. With ladder grip in the arch, toe grip for climbing walls and fences, flex grooves that match the natural movements of the foot and a truly stable designed sole.

2. Heel Impact Zone: The EVA (Ethyl Vinyl Acetate) sole has a molded shock absorber at the heel, in solid, softer rubber (not an air cushion). This sole has higher shock absorption than a traditional sole to reduce the risk of injury when walking, jumping and quick turning movements - and provides strong support for the foot.

3. Density Midsole: A fiber sole reinforced to provide high torsional resistance and provides 100% stability. It contains no metal parts - therefore arc flash safe.

4. Flex-Lite Stability Insole: The heart and soul of the Flex-Lite Support System. Original SWAT engineered an exclusive airport-friendly molded stability insole that both distributes weight and increases stability. Corrugated grooves provide torsional support through the heel and arch, and end right where needed in the forefoot to provide superior flexibility.

5. Heel stability: A TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) full-length reinforcement - provides powerful support during lateral movement.
