Food & Snacks - MRE (meal-ready-to-eat)

Here you will find food and snacks in all its forms. Perfect to pack as provisions in your backpack when you go on an adventure. MRE (meal-ready-to-eat) were developed primarily for the military, but are now also widely used by adventurers. An MRE is a package that consists of a dish that is heated by the included heat pack. The heat pack does not require matches but works through chemical heat. You simply put the food in the heat bag and activate it with a splash of water (included), then the food is ready after about 12 minutes. In extreme cold, the heat bag may need to be warmed against the body for a minute or so. It is advisable to let the bag warm with the protective cardboard wrapping around it, to maximize the heat into the food. The bag with MRE contains exactly everything you need for a meal (cutlery, napkin, water for the heat bag and food).
