The SRK has a robust blade made of wear-resistant and edge-resistant SK5 with a Tuff-Ex surface treatment that minimizes reflections and protects the blade against corrosion and wear. The handle is made of Kray-Ex which is extremely durable and provides a secure and stable grip even in wet conditions.
Cold Steel's classic SRK (Survival Rescue Knife) knife is a well-proven model among police, military and coast guards worldwide. The Navy Seals in the United States have also chosen to issue this model to all soldiers undergoing BUDS (Basic Underwater Demolition training).
